of our actual work is done 3rd shift so that we will
not disrupt any customers who are shopping on our clients'
websites. Because we do not keep regular 9-5 hours, you may leave
a message at any time of day, and we will call you back
when we are available. There are a million 9-5 companies out there who, after they punch out, don't give their clients a second thought. Wouldn't you rather have a web designer who is also working evenings and weekends to provide a better shopping experience for your customers?
Telephone Tech Support
Telephone
technical support and consultations for clients needing walk-throughs for personal computer or laptop problems, 3rd party email programs, or other 3rd party software, are
by appointment only, and are billed in 30 minute increments. We can support just about any kind of software - however, we will need a detailed list of what programs you need help with first (program name, program version number, software company who made it, and any error messages that you have received including error numbers if applicable), so that we can research the problem first. This saves time in the long run, as if we had to look this information up and learn about the program and error codes while we were actually on the phone with you, the billable phone support time would be much higher. |

Office
Location and Hours
I
work from my home office and do most of my business via
email, Skype, and telephone. My husband works with me on a daily basis, and my father works with me from his home office on a daily basis as well.
I do not have non-essential employees, or in fact, any employees, at least not in the traditional sense of the word. Never have, and never will. My husband and my father are my colleagues, and each owns their own business which works in conjunction with mine.
For larger projects, I also work with several trusted, long-time colleagues and programmers, who also work from their home offices. Many of them work for themselves and own companies of their own. Others work full time for large companies, and only assist us with a project a few times a year as needed.
Because I don't pay expensive rent
on an office with separate utilities, don't have to commute
to work, or be burdened with the numerous other other expenses and hassles associated with having a separate office and employees, I can keep
my prices very affordable. If you want low cost, high quality, search engine friendly website design at extremely reasonable prices, you are in the right place!
However, if you want a web design firm that has a huge impressive office, whose secretaries will answer the phone promptly between 9am - 5pm every weekday - I am sorry, we are not that company. There are no secretaries here, only programmers, web marketers, bloggers, and other geeky types.
I am happy to talk to you whenever it is required, but because I prefer to be awake and alert when I talk to clients, I typically only return calls between 2pm-7pm CST. Most people don't want to receive a business call any later than that, and 6am when I'm getting ready for bed after a 14 hour work day is definitely not the correct time either. So, for this reason, I like to warn people that if your requirements include phone calls early in the morning on a regular basis, you may be disappointed. I would like to just put that out there ahead of time so there is no confusion. |
